Acceptance Speech

As this year's winner of the Pirate Captain Grape Grog's Booty Guess Challenge, I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has helped me get here. Thank you to Sid the Science Kid for teaching me about estimating, and thank you to Linds for having a rainy day jar about the same size as Captain Grape Grog's bottle which gave me a ballpark way to guess. The PCGGBGC training for the last 6 months has been rigorous, but now that I have won priceless Disney momentos, all of the hard work has been worth it.

I feel so honored to have been remembered during Zach and Trina's trip to Disneyland, and I would like to show you just how incredible my prizes were:

This is a map of Disneyland that has little track marks to show the path of Zach and Trina's adventures. They went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride first.

Here you can see my "Honorary Citizen of Disneyland" button pinned on Ethan, my very cool car antennae (which my car doesn't have, but we made it into a magic want by putting it on the end of a pen, so cool enough, right?) and a tinkerbell magic pin that will make all my dreams come true.

I am honored to be the recipient of this presitgious award, and send a heartfelt thanks to Zach, Trina, and everyone on the PGGBGC committee.

Hope all your dreams come true!

Emily Ricks, 2009 PGGBGC winner
