Quote of the Day

I know my last post was the same thing (something cool that I read), but let's be honest, reading is about the most exciting thing in my life right now. :) (All done with Harry Potter #7!!)

This one is too good not to share with you guys because it reminds me of Linds. It's from Victor Hugo. He struggled with his faith when his daughter died in an accident, and wrote this in a letter to a friend whose father died:

"Let us bend our heads together under the hand which destroys. ... Death brings revelations. The mighty blows that open the heart also open the mind. Light penetrates us at the same time as pain. I am a believer. I anticipate another life. How could I not? My daughter was a soul. A soul which I have seen and, as it were, touched. ... I suffer as you do. Hope as I do."

Wow -- can't believe that I find this at 4 something on the clock when I am about to post an entry about grieving!! I love the last part -- I suffer as you do -- hope as I do" -- I really am aching for this family (do you remember the really cute little boy with the spiked hair and his petite sister who is always holding him on her lap? I can't remmeber if they were there the week you guys did Sharing Time. He is almost 5, she is 8 -- the youngest of 7 kids. Dad's a Dr, mom had a life threatening injury about 6 years ago -- family has really been through some tough stuff.)

I hope I can be prepared to help...thanks for your contribution!
