A Great Zachism.

Tonight as we were chatting Zach was just affirming what an awesome guy Kyle is that he can't imagine a better husband for me, brother -in-law to have, etc...
"You know, I just never have any doubts--is he making good decisions, is he caring for Em, is he being a good dad...etc."

Then he said,

"That stuff never even comes close to pretending to even try to crawl into my mind."

Diagram that sentence, please. :)

Love you all!

And, here's something cute Ethan said today:
Morning church is awesome. 9:00, baby! But, it does kind of make we want an afternoon nap, and that's a little tricky to come by with a 4 year old running around. So, I tried the old, "Hey Ethan, do you want to come snuggle?" trick to see if I could at least get a minute or two of laying in bed feeling like I was getting a nap. He cuddled up under the covers with me and and I put my arm around him and closed my eyes....

Then, very matter of factly, and without a shred of tiredness in his voice, he said,
"So how was Relief Society today?"

So incredibly cute. :)

After we chatted about church and after I sent him down to get himself a yogurt (which he can do all by himself so it gave me about a 3 minute nap), he came back up and I developed a whole new appreciation for tickle bug. When you're the adult, "pretending" to be asleep, you get a few minutes here and there of drifting off and then when you hear them yelp you throw your hand out and they squeal with delight. I was cracking up wondering how often Dad was actually snoozing all those times...

Ok, the end.

I think the actual quote contained, "...to crawl towards entering my mind" at the end of it, but it's pretty close. Love it!
